Nationally livestock theft cases have increased by 8.8%. Although one would consider the rise as dramatic, the reasons are not known. It may be due to a real increase or improved reporting of cases by victims. In the table below, the increases within the different provinces are indicated varying from as high as 22.5% to as low as 1.8%.
